so far, so good

ohgodthesebandages
Working on this painting has been something between cathartic and mind-numbing. It's the bandages. I'd like to finish it tonight but my gnarled aching hand says no.

yodelling is good for the soulWell, we're halfway through January. The perception of time has been inconsistent for me so far this year. It feels like we should be well into February by now and it surprises me a little every time I realize we're not. Last weekend lasted about two weeks. Days speed up and slow down, I've lost some time completely and I think I spent a few hours in 2003 the other day. I don't know how to account for this. Alien abduction, maybe.

In other news, I had an interview for a job that I'm pretty sure I didn't get. I dropped a can of soup on my foot. I've been listening to old country music. I've watched Re-Animator like 20 times. 2010...so far, so good.

So, the job search continues, secret projects are in the works and an etsy shop is coming soon. A haircut as well. I think if I attacked my hair with styling products I could make it look exactly like a 'do Blanche once had on The Golden Girls. I have hair that was attractive on elderly women in the '80s. And with that thought, I'm out of here.

  1. So far, so good indeed. The red branches are an awesome thought, btw.
