daily drawing project + drawgasmic

day 6
I'm attempting to do a drawing a day for a year. I'm a week in. Plus a day. But I haven't finished today's yet...eheh...Here's the rest of the first week:
day 1day 2day 3day 4day 5day 7
I might start posting these on a more daily basis if I can ever get shit together enough to do so. I decided to force myself to draw something that isn't a girl at least once every week so this wouldn't turn into 365 creepy spidery ladies. So yeah, there's a guy up there.

In other news, my work's up on the Drawgasmic website now. Have a looksy. And check out the other artists. There's some good stuff there.

  1. I don't think I have ever seen a guy drawn by you. This is truly a day to remember.

  2. Ha, seriously.
I don't want to be one of those people who only draw girls. So no more excuses.

  4. I've got a Fabriano Artist's Journal I've been using for this. The paper is super lovely.

  5. I know I've asked you a BAGILLION [accurate] times, but can you recommend a few more sketchbooks/ paper choices...

...Wire bound [if you have any preferences]

  6. Oh, that's okay!
I'm not big on wirebound sketchbooks but the best one I ever had was a Cachet.
You might also try a Strathmore drawing pad.
If you're concerned about mauling paper 'cause you erase a lot or whatever you should just look for heavier weight papers. If you want to mess around with ink or marker, they make pads specifically for that, though I've never tried any of them -- I usually use watercolor paper or bristol board. It all really depends on what you're doing...What are you doing? And are you ever going to post any of your drawings, hmmmm?
